Abby Scott is the South Island reporter for the Close Up team. Shes based in Christchurch.

Abby is a graduate of the NZ Broadcasting School where she received a Bachelor of Broadcasting majoring in journalism.

She began working for TVNZ in Wellington in 2006 and worked for Breakfast and ONE News. After spending a year exploring the eastern reaches of Europe, she joined the Close Up team in March of this year.

Before joining TVNZ, Abby was a roving sports reporter and presenter for the television coverage of sporting events such as the National Rowing Champs and the NZ Touch Nationals.
