4.8 magnitude quake strikes Marlborough

A 4.8 magnitude earthquake was felt by many people in Marlborough early this morning.

The epicentre was about 30 kilometres south of Seddon at a depth of 2 kilometres.

There have been no reports of damage.

Over 200 people reported feeling the quake.
