Pedrosa wins US MotoGP

Spanish rider Dani Pedrosa won the US Grand Prix on Monday, leading from first lap to last, for his first MotoGP victory of the year.

The Honda drivers winning time was 44 minutes, 01.580 seconds for 32 laps on the Laguna Seca track.

Valentino Rossi of Italy was second on a Yamaha, 0.344 seconds behind Pedrosa, and pole starter Jorge Lorenzo was third on a Yamaha despite painful injuries suffered in a qualifying crash on Saturday.

Australia's Casey Stoner finished fourth, 12.432 seconds behind Pedrosa.
