MotoGP rider Jorge Lorenzo will take part in this week's final pre-season test in Qatar despite a broken thumb which ruled him out of the previous session.
"The fracture happened less than five weeks ago, but we could not have missed this last test because it would have been negative for our preparation.
"The doctor has made a special carbon fibre protection," the Spaniard told www.motogp.com.
Last season's runner-up, behind Yamaha team-mate Valentino Rossi, should be ready for the first race of the year in Qatar on April 11.
