Five-time world champion Sebastien Loeb has clinched Rally Australia after dominating the final day in northern New South Wales.
Loeb took the World Rally Championship event by 12.5 seconds from main rival Mikko Hirvonen of Finland in a Ford Focus.
The French Citroen star has now cut Hirvonen's lead in the series to just one point - 76-75 - with only the Spanish and British rounds remaining.
Spaniard Dani Sordo was third, a further 4.6 seconds back, in a Citroen.
Australian Cody Crocker in a Subaru was 12th overall and third in the production class, won by New Zealander Hayden Paddon.
Loeb began the season in a blaze of glory, winning the first five rallies before Hirvonen bounced back in the second half of the year, taking the last three in succession heading into Rally Australia.
