Scott Dixon has won the latest Indy Car round in Milwaukee by 2.1257 seconds.
Dixon, the 2008 Indy Car Series champion, qualified fourth for the race alongside Tony Kanaan on the second row of the grid.
The Kiwi driver has already won a race at Kansas this season and this second victory takes him to top of the standings by four points .
"I'm just so happy to win at this place, it's so tough" said a jubilant Dixon straight after the win for his Chip Ganassi Racing team.
Australian Ryan Briscoe started from pole and Dixon passed him on the backstretch of the 201st lap in a critical move that secured the win for the New Zealander.
"Briscoe tried to go low and I got a run high and got him," recounted Dixon.
Briscoe, driving for Team Penske, hung on to second with Dixon's teammate Dario Franchitti finishing third and Graham Rahal fourth.
Danica Patrick finished fifth, enough to move her from sixth to fourth on points, the highest position for the female driver so far.
The next race is in Texas next weekend.
