Dixon qualifies eighth for Toronto

New Zealand driver Scott Dixon has qualified eighth fastest for Monday morning IndyCar street race in Toronto.

Dixon's team mate Scotsman Dario Franchitti will start on pole alongside Will Power for the 2.82km course..

Dixon leads the standings by just 16 points from Franchitti heading into Monday's race.

Franchitti recorded a qualifying time of 1min 1.0249secs with Australia Power and American Graham Rahal close behind him.

Australian Ryan Briscoe, who shares second in the points race with Franchitti, will start 11th.
