Current IndyCar points leader Ryan Briscoe has just edged Justin Wilson for pole position for Monday's Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio.
Australian Briscoe, who has claimed his third pole of the season, set a qualifying record on the 2.258-mile, 13-turn road circuit at 121.905 mph, breaking the 2007 mark of Brazil's Helio Castroneves in 66.6814 seconds on a new set of tires.
Meanwhile, New Zealand Indy driver Scott Dixon, will start third followed by Graham Rahal, Castroneves, Dario Franchitti, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Tony Kanaan.
