Another F1 chance for Hartley

It feels like Christmas has come early for Kiwi driver Brendon Hartley who is set to press his Formula One claims.

On Tuesday night (NZT) the Palmerston North driver steps into the seat of a Torro Rosso Formula One car for testing at Jerez in Spain

Hartley will drive in the car for the first day with Italian Mirko Bortolotti driving the second day.

The 20-year-old said he is looking forward to impressing team bosses.

He told reporters that it is another great opportunity, with his main aim being to do a good job and make no mistakes.

Adding that after the year a terrible season, he feels lucky to be given the chance

Brendon Hartley drove for Red Bull in the European Formula 3 Championship this season.
