A1GP set to bypass New Zealand

  • NZ leg of A1GP in serious doubt

There will be no New Zealand round of the A1GP in the upcoming season.

But a round of the World Cup of Motorsport will be held at Hampton Downs, south of Auckland in October 2010.

While the circuit was initially due to host a round of this year's series in January 2010, both A1GP and Hampton Downs circuit management have made a joint decision to bypass this season.

Hampton Downs will now host the opening round of the 2010/2011 season.
