Getting a grip on online banking

Online banking is a quick and easy way to check accounts, change payments and pay bills with little to no hassle. You can access your accounts anytime, anywhere (internet connection permitting), you can even sign up for some products online and give your accounts nicknames.

Westpac has an Online Banking Guarantee to help protect its customers.

Westpac is so confident in our systems and process that, subject to our Terms and Conditions , we make you the following promise:
"In the unlikely event that you fall victim to online fraud as a result of using Westpac New Zealand's online banking services, we will always reimburse, in full, all money taken from your account."

Online banking
By banking online, you'll be able to have a close view of your account activities. You can also keep track of savings without having to enter a branch.

Txt/email alerts
Txt/email alerts allow you to keep track of how much money you have in your account. You can set up alerts to remind you when bills are due, when a payment has been made, even if your account goes under a certain level. To do this you must have online banking set up.

Westpac offers 10 free text alerts a month if you log in to online banking every month and unlimited email alerts.
