Sharon Small as Trudi
Sharon was born in 1967 in Glasgow, Scotland. She studied drama at Kirkaldy College (a couple of years above Ewan McGregor and Dougray Scott), and graduated from the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in 1989.
Sharon's early roles included performances on Taggart and Sunburn.
Since 2001, Sharon has starred with Nathaniel Parker in BBC drama series The Inspector Lynley Mysteries. Elizabeth George, author of the Inspector Lynley books, initially thought Sharon was too pretty to play Detective Sergeant Barbara Havers, but changed her mind when she saw how well she portrayed the character.
Sharon is recognised for her role in About A Boy, in which she played Hugh Grant's ex-girlfriend, Christine, who convinces him that he will only find fulfillment with a family.
Sharon's stage credits include the West End production of When Harry Met Sally alongside Buffy star Alyson Hannigan.
Did You Know?
Sharon is also a skilled soprano (she has played Sally in The Threepenny Opera), recorder player and swimmer.
She had her first child in 2006.
