The final episode of McLeod's Daughters has now screened on TV2.

In the final ever episode of McLeod's Daughters:

Drovers' future is in doubt and the girls pull out all stops to shear through the night to try and save the farm, and their futures.

Drover's Run is feeling the effects of a terrible drought that has gripped South Australia. The girls' resort to desperate measures to ensure the cattle survive the next few months. Stevie is under tremendous pressure to keep Drover's afloat; a fact she keeps hidden from the other girls.

Eventually Stevie is forced to reveal the dire state of the farm's finances. To keep all the staff on board, Stevie hasn't given herself a salary.

The sheep are shorn for money. But there is another shock in store for the girls at Drover's, when the the grain stocks catch fire - the very same grain that was to be used to keep the cattle alive in the next few months.

In a last ditch effort, the girls decide to sell the cattle, however Stevie is unable to find the money to get the cattle to the sale yard. Stevie eventually finds a driver who says he'll meet them halfway. The girls team together to drove the cattle to the highway. The mission is fraught with tension when thieves attempt to steal the cattle, but the girls make it in the end.

Moira has a premonition and discovers Phil has returned. She saves him from a fatal accident and Moira finally tells Phil how she feels.

It's Zander's first birthday party. Stevie takes Zander and Charlotte for a walk and imagines the two working on Drover's Run themselves. They resemble Alex and Steve in their looks and interaction.

In the final scene, the women of Drover's Run ride across the farm.
