Antonio "Italian Mountain Cat" Guzzo
As team captain and owner of marine-deals.co.nz if Antonio's not checking out the latest fishing technology he's usually either chasing his favourites - Hapuka and Blue Nose in the far north, or just out getting a bin full of snapper out in the Rangi channel.
Antonio is the son of legendary Auckland fisho Frank Guzzo and his earliest memories are of surf casting on Piha Beach at the tender age of 4.
He's known by his mates as "The Italian Mountain Cat" (a stealth like predator from the rolling hills of Tuscany with a 95% success rate when hunting) due to his supernatural fishing ability. Antonio's career highlights includes winning the 2006 Whangaroa One Base Marlin tournament.
When it comes to fire fighters, Doug Kinsella is the crème of the crop having represented NZ at the 2008 World Combat Challenge.
A Northland boy, Doug is hugely accomplished in all forms of angling having fished the Whangarei and Whangaroa regions extensively and has become known in more recent times for his raunchy photo shoot in the 2008 NZ fire fighters' calendar. A lethal edition to any team, Doug is man on a mission!
Fisherman, wine connoisseur and league fanatic all rolled into one, Williams is an unpredictable yarn spinner known for his zany sense of humour and lightning quick reflexes.
When he's not at work, tasting and evaluating wines or dining with the world's finest wineries Williams can most likely be found entertaining his mates with fine red wine while watching his beloved Warriors on the box.
Panel-beater extraordinaire who manages to put more hours on the water than the whole team put together. Small of stature, big of heart - Bert strikes fear into every carrot (gurnard) in the ocean.
Do not under estimate this top fishing chick. Giovanna is 21 years old with 21 years fishing experience alongside some of NZ's top fisherman. And she runs her own promo girls company so she's not just out there fishing for talent!
A programming student at AUT, Daniel spends every spare moment away from the computer either in or on the water, usually surfing or fishing or freediving or wakeboarding or anything else that's possible in the water. Let's hope he gets some bytes!
