He Toki ki te Rika - Inspiring M?ori Leadership in Trades
is a collaborative M?ori Trade Training initiative between CPIT, Te
Tapuae o Rehua, The Office of Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu, and the BETA
cluster of ITO's and is supported by Te Puni Kokiri.
This initiative aims to increase the participation of M?ori in
trade based careers at all levels, meeting the immediate, short and
long term needs and aspirations of our communities and ultimately
build M?ori capability within the building and infrastructure
industries in Canterbury.

Waikato
Wintec - The M?ori Trade Training Programme allows you to
study towards both the Certificate in Building (Level 4) and the
Certificate in Tikanga M?ori (He Papa Tikanga) (Level 3).
Both programmes are integrated to include theory, practice and work
experience within a noho marae and wananga environment
incorporating te reo and tikanga.

Tumahaurangi Trust - Construction Trade Training in
Rotorua need 150 students to enrol on their Carpentry Course with
the aim of assisting with the Christchurch rebuild. The course runs
for 41 weeks Level 4 NZQA accredited in Carpentry. If you are over
