As the first silver fleet race got underway it was almost impossible to separate the K-Challenge and Greek Challenge on the start line.

K-Challenge tacked away very quickly and both boats went wide and then tacked back in.

Part way down the first leg they swapped sides with the French boat taking the left and holding a slight advantage while the Greeks went right.

At the first mark K-Challenge went wide with the Greeks coming inside them but they did not quite manage to get on top of them and the French team took the air and sped away.

K-Challenge stayed right throughout and protected their lead of between 50 and 100 metres.

The race stayed close throughout the last two legs with the Greeks always fighting hard and gybing particularly well for a team of small boat sailors.

Heading for the finish line with their spinnaker up, the K-Challenge were not challenged by the Greek and won by a comfortable 26 seconds.
