About the show:
Lotto is New Zealand's favourite lottery game, offering you the chance to become a millionaire every week. Just choose your favourite numbers, or take a Lucky Dip, and if your numbers come up on Saturday night you're a winner!
And even if your numbers don't come up, every Lotto ticket has a second chance to win a million with Lotto's Winning Wheel. That's two chances to become a millionaire every week! How great would that feel? There are 30 segments on the Winning Wheel containing both cash and non-cash prizes worth more than $6 million in total and every prize is fantastic. The minimum cash prize you can win is $100,000 and prizes range up to a whopping $1 million..
The Lotto draw is filmed at Avalon Studios in Lower Hutt and broadcast live every Saturday night at 8pm on TV2. The very first Lotto draw took place on 1 August 1987. The first presenters were Doug Harvey and Ann Wilson, now the draw is fronted by Kyllee King-Turner, Russell Harrison and Matt Lawry.
