About Little Princess
Little Princess is a pre-school series based on the best-selling
children's picture books by award-winning author/illustrator Tony
Ross.
Little Princess is a feisty four-year-old, with an insatiable
curiosity. She can be prone to the odd tantrum, but no one can
resist a flash of her big toothy grin.
The stories stay true to the spirit of Tony Ross's original books:
the positive message delivered within each episode is wrapped up in
a warm blend of humour and surprise.
The only child of the loving King and Queen, our cheeky Princess
has her castle home and its grounds at her disposal - free to roam
and play safely.
King, her dad is a cheerful character, full of helpful advice and
Queen, her mum who's warm-hearted and kind is always there for her
daughter to stop her getting into trouble.
By her side are her beloved pets - Puss, Scruff and her newly
acquired Shetland pony Horace - who have their own adventures in
each story. And the Princess doesn't go anywhere without her
favourite teddy, Gilbert.
The Princess also has a young friend Algie, as well as a host of
adult friends who live at the castle. Amongst these are the Maid,
General, Chef, Admiral, Prime Minister and Gardener. And whilst
they are always on hand to play with the Princess and offer helpful
advice, sometimes it's not all that clear who is more grown
up!
Featuring the voice talents of Jane Horrocks (Little Princess),
Julian Clary (the Narrator), and Brian Blessed,
Little
Princess invites all little ones and those who look after them
to laugh and learn!
