Kidzone's Kayne
Meet our cool Kidzone presenter Kayne Peters.
Originally from Mangere in South Auckland, Kayne relocated to Dunedin to work with Pickled Possum Productions on Kidzone .
Kayne has Tuwharetoa and Tainui connections, and is a performing arts graduate with heaps of experience as a drama tutor in schools.
"Coming from South Auckland, I have strong aroha for the young children of Aotearoa and want them to have role models who make a positive effect on their lives.
"I want to encourage kids to give new stuff a go and try new things.
"We also have heaps of opportunities on the show for viewers to meet lots of other children from different backgrounds who live in Aotearoa New Zealand.
"If I can show children that they are loved and respected, then I'll be happy!
"And Zoe is already my new 'bestie'.
"Puppets can be very effective because they are so much fun and can get away with doing stuff that adult presenters like me can't.
"Kids can also see themselves mirrored in the puppets.
"Zoe often needs help, and the viewers and I have to help her out - we will always find the answers together.
"Zoe is always kind and has excellent manners (most of the time). She's so cool, she's so much fun and she knows what she's wants - and she's only five!"
