About Just The Job

Just The Job

Just the Job returns for its 9th series on Saturday 19 April.

Just the Job is the inspirational career profiling series that has showcased over 250 different careers to date.

In easily digestible 7 minute fun stories, viewers are taken on a voyage of discovery as students probe a huge variety of work opportunities; from Jockey to Doctor, from Farm Manager to Electrician , from Vet to Navy Frigate Captain.

Dave Mason Productions produce the programme from their comprehensive production facilities based at a lifestyle block in the beautiful Waitakere foothills. Dave Mason himself is the devisor and producer of Just the Job and says: “Just the Job is a truly inspirational and entertaining tool which showcases the huge range of careers on offer in New Zealand today”

Presented by popular host, Clinton Randell, the programmes are aimed at 16 to 18 year old career seekers but also prove to be a great resource for any career seeker or career changer of any age.

Since the first programme was broadcast in 2007, and now with 90 half hour programmes produced, Just the Job has gone from strength to strength with the TV broadcast being complemented by a comprehensive free DVD distribution of each and every series to all secondary schools in the country.

This has proven to be a valuable one-stop comprehensive career video resource for career teachers throughout the country.

Before Just the Job came along, career teachers had to rely mainly on Australian career videos.

Two years ago, the team at Dave Mason Productions launched the free interactive Just the Job website where each career video produced can be watched at any time by anyone anywhere in the world. “Our Solid Plastering careers video is very popular with on-line viewers in Greece!” says Dave.

Just the Job also features in-flight with Air New Zealand.

Series 9 profiles a great range of careers starting with officer entry careers in the New Zealand Defence Force to a career as a Fitness Trainer to working in the Thoroughbred Racing Industry. “A career as a personal fitness trainer has been a career we have had a great demand to profile and I am very pleased that this is just one of the 30 careers to be featured in the upcoming Series 9 “ says Dave.
