From three executive producers of the phenomenal hit series Friends comes the comedy Joey, starring Multiple Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Award nominee Matt LeBlanc in his Friends role as charming and single Joey Tribbiani, who has moved to Hollywood to truly make it as an actor.
In an effort to further his acting career, charming and single Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc moved from New York City to Hollywood last year. He said good-bye to a time when his friends were his family and welcomed the chance to turn his family into his friends. The move worked, and Joey landed a role on the nighttime drama Deep Powder, but his job was soon in jeopardy.
Joey's tact-challenged agent, Bobbie (Jennifer Coolidge), offers his overbearing older sister, Gina (Drea de Matteo), a strong and sexy hairstylist, a job at the agency because Bobbie admires Gina's abrasiveness. Gina's 21-year-old son, Michael (Paulo Costanzo), is a genius graduate student who literally is a rocket scientist and a bit of a nerd. Although Joey lacks book smarts, he more than compensates with his people skills, making him the best friend his nephew could ask for.
After Alex (Andrea Anders), Joey's uptight neighbour who practices environmental law, commiserates with him over the termination of recent relationships - Alex's impending divorce and Joey's girlfriend who moved away - Joey and Alex wake up together in Joey's bed and realise what has transpired between them.
Later, Joey and his new friend Zach (Miguel A Nunez Jr) steal a director's dog, intending to return the prized pooch and win an audition from the director.
