Diane Spencer sits our comedy questionnaire

Diane Spencer - Tam Pom Pom

1)     How did you get the name of your show this year?
Well, I realized that being a female comedian some people would automatically make assumptions about the content of my show and rather than play against that, I decided to play towards it, so that people who turn up to my show will not be offended when the odd specifically female perspective piece of humour comes up.  TAM POM POM sounds like tampon, but then there's the play on words with pom, because I am a pom, so it neatly summarises what you're going to see.  It also has a nice rhythmical sound to it, and people giggle when they hear it.

2) Tell us your favourite punchline?
At the moment& because they change.. I suppose it's the Oxfam sponsored kid who drives through the village on his blinged up cow that and he's cut the legs off at knees.  Something along those lines... it's still in development that one.

3) What's been your best heckle?
A young lady's mobile phone went off, and she said that was the alarm for me to get off the stage.

4) What was your response?
Something about her bleached blonde hair, black eyebrows and black pubes.  I can't remember, the entire night was bad in terms of performance, excellent in terms of learning experience.

5) What's the craziest thing you've ever bought on TradeMe?
I have never bought anything on TradeMe, I am always outbid.

6) Aside from yourself, who would you kill to see at this year's festival - and why?
Steve Coogan - legend in his own time.

7) What was the last film you watched?
30 Days of Night.

8) What was the one question you were glad you weren't asked on this questionnaire?
Describe in detail the workings of an application for residency form.

9) What's the one question we should have asked?
If you could meet any comedian dead or alive, who would it be and why.
