Jason Cook - Joy

1)       How did you get the name of your show this year?
It's called "Joy" because I wanted to design a show that would make people feel unbridled happiness by the end.

2)       Tell us your favourite punchline
A one that works really well! Can't really give away the punchlines of the show! One of my favourites is "And he was standing behind a table so I only caught the top two"

3)       What's been your best heckle?
I thanked a man who had been at my show the year before, for returning to see the next show, he replied in a broad scottish accent "I'm just checking that you're still shite". He was joking of course. I hope...

4)       What was your response?
I just said "Yep, same shite, but when you get a lippy audience, all they understand is shite isn't it mate?

5)       What's the craziest thing you've ever bought on TradeMe?
Boys

6)       Aside from yourself, who would you kill to see at this year's festival - and why?
Toby Hadoke is doing his Dr Who show. I've seen it a few times already, but it always gets me, and you don't have to be a Dr Who fan to enjoy it! Steve Wrigley is great as of course is Ben Hurley. My Asylum shows should be the most fun for me though as we'll be putting on the best of the international comics with the best of the Kiwi guys and girls, should be awesome

7)       What was the last film you watched?
Knowing with Nicolas Cage. If I had known about the ending I would have known not to bother knowing about "Knowing"

8)       What was the one question you were glad you weren't asked on this questionnaire?
Where are the bodies buried?

9)       What's the one question we should have asked?
What can we expect from this year's show?, that would have a good un.
