What is The Big Show 09?

An International Comedy Showcase:

It's The Big Show 09

Since 2005 The Big Show has become one of the most popular shows in the annual NZ International Comedy Festival promising a line-up of 4 world class comedians each night in a 2 hour show.

In previous years audiences at The Big Show have been introduced to world class comedians such as Andy Parsons, Stephen K Amos, Mark Watson, Phil Nicol, Jason Cook and many more.

The Big Show 2009 is no exception with a fresh line-up of international comedy stars including ;

Carey Marx (England)
Another headline comedian from the UK Pro circuit who has managed to elude us for a number of years finally heads downunder to feature in our festival. Carey is renowned for his edgy material which guarantees a Big Show with a bit of bite in 2009.

Dan Nightingale (England)
A fresh face on the UK Pro circuit, we spotted Dan at last years Edinburgh Fringe and picked him as one to watch. "Fantastic...He has it in him to be another Kitson or Noble." - Metro UK

Lindsay Webb (Australia)
Always nice to forge closer links with a friends across the ditch, Lindsay is a top talent from sunny Brisbane. Engaging, clever observational comedy that has seen him in demand all over Australia.

They will be joined each night by special guests including, in the first week, Canadian Glenn Wool and in the second week, Jason Cook from England both of whom are also appearing in their own solo shows at The Classic each night.
