Series 1 Episode 5 - Paua Soup


Paua Soup

Ingredients.....

4 Minced Paua ( 125 mm size )
1 medium onion
2 tbsps Butter
2 cloves of garlic
300 ml cream
Salt and Pepper

Method.....

Heat saucepan, add butter, and then add garlic and onion until golden brown. Add paua and toss for 1 minute, then add cream and thicken with flour or cornflour. Ready to eat with Little Floaters and Paua Chips.

Little Floaters

Ingredients.....

2 Cups Self Raising Flour
2 Cups water or enough to make a nice dough

Method.....

Pull and roll small bits of dough and drop into very hot oil until a nice golden brown. Put onto greaseproof paper. Now ready to serve with Paua soup and Paua chips.

Kura's Paua Chips

Ingredients.....

4 Paua ( 125 mm size )
Flour
2 Tbl Butter
Oil ( for cooking )

Method.....

Slice paua into small strips. Put into plastic bag and shake until every strip is covered with flour. Cook with butter in very hot pan until golden brown.
