Local favourite joins Home and Away

Kyle Prior plays Nate - Home and Away on TV2

From Takapuna to Summer Bay, English turned Kiwi expat Kyle Prior is making his mark across the ditch as he joins Home and Away.

Kyle joins the show as Dr Nate Cooper, an English expat like himself, who relocates to Summer Bay.

And just like his character, Kyle is adapting to life in Australia after six years in New Zealand.

“Being new to Australia myself, our journeys are fairly similar," he says.

Born and raised in Surrey, United Kingdom, Kyle emigrated to NZ in 2006 and during his time in New Zealand, he’s become a familiar face on our screens with memorable roles in local shows Nothing Trivial , Auckland Daze and This Is Not My Life .

Go Girls fans will also remember his unforgettable turn as Kev’s root rat cousin Shane who bedded Olivia, Cody and Angelina back in Season Four.

No doubt New Zealand Home and Away fans will be looking forward to seeing even more of Kyle on their favourite Aussie soap.

Kyle hints that his character’s Home and Away debut is going to be action packed.

"Nate’s arrival is fast paced and frantic when he finds himself in Summer Bay.”

He also admits that his latest role offers some new challenges for the experienced actor who’s also martial arts expert.

“Playing a doctor has led to interesting and engaging storylines, that have been great fun and challenging to play,” he says.

Kyle has already begun filming and he’s clearly enjoying the pace of life in Summer Bay recently tweeting:

Stay tuned for Kyle’s Home and Away debut later this year.
