Hi-5: Meet Stevie

Stevie Nicholson

At NIDA where Stevie trained, he worked with a variety of Australias top directors, choreographers, and music theatre experts, under the lead of Abigail Herman.

The NIDA course was a perfect complement to Stevies training in London at RADA where he studied classical Shakespeare with some of the worlds best acting
teachers.

His standout performance in the final NIDA Showcase led to his on-the-spot signing by agent Les Solomon and immediate contract with Brainstorm Productions on their drama performances for schools.

Well renowned writer Melvyn Morrow (Dusty, Shout) also saw Stevie in the NIDA Showcase and challenged him to take on one man cabaret show Shakespearean Idol, performing excerpts for charity events.

Whilst training in drama, Stevie worked as Assistant Editor for Australian Tennis Magazine, a position that saw him travel Europe on the International Tennis Circuit, working at Wimbledon and the French Open and developing good friendships with many of the worlds best players.

Stevie interviewed Lleyton Hewitt when he was only 15, Lleyton only a few years older.
