Jackie Clarke

Entertainer Jackie Clarke is well known for a huge range of music and variety performances.

She's been a judge on NZ Idol, is part of The Lady Killers (with Tina Cross and Suzanne Lynch) and played the daughter in one of the first Samoan TV comedy series, The Semisis. You can learn more about her career at Jackie's website.

Jackie is of Samoan descent with a Scottish grandfather who settled in Apia. She lives in Auckland with her husband, Lebanese film director Grant Lahood, and their two boys.

In Here To Stay Jackie explores her Scottish roots, travelling the country to see how the taciturn Celts have contributed to our vaunted sense of fairplay. Would we have sheep dogs, scones or a female prime-minister if it weren't for the Scots?
