  New neo-natal intensive care unit for Wellington Hospital - Source: ONE News

Some of the youngest and most vulnerable patients at Wellington Hospital have been moved to their new state-of-the-art wards.

Twenty babies from the neo-natal intensive care unit, or nicu, have been transferred to the quarter of a billion dollar facility.

Extra staff were rostered on for the move which is regarded as one of the riskiest parts of the transfer.

Ruby Topham was the last baby born in the old delivery suites.
