The Aids Foundation has seen a rise in enquiries about HIV tests and is anticipating more next week.

It follows the name of the man accused of deliberately infecting multiple sexual partners with HIV, being made public.

Glenn Richard Albert Mills is facing 14 charges relating to seven victims.

Foundation Executive Director Rachael Le Mesurier says the case is extremely rare, and the majority of people living with HIV are very responsible.

She says HIV transmission can be easily prevented by using condoms.
