The Bangladeshi mother of newly separated twins Krishna and Trishna says she became hysterical upon realising her girls were conjoined, after a traumatic birth during which she was blindfolded.

Lovely Golder, 23, has told Woman's Day she was in a state of disbelief and began sobbing so violently that her surgical stitches ruptured.

"I was so upset to see them in that condition," she said.

"Then the doctors pulled the babies away from me ... I was shouting like a crazy person ... I felt I was almost dead with shock," she told Woman's Day.

Golder described how moments after the birth she lay blindfolded with her hands tied and she heard the clicking of cameras.

She drifted to sleep and it wasn't until the next day she first held her daughters.

Without any warning or explanation, they were placed in her arms, she said.

When they were six weeks old, Golder says she made the tough decision to give up her girls.

"I dream my children are safe and happy. I want to talk with my daughters and I'd do anything to see them for just one minute," she said."
