Medlab set to win back test work

Auckland's Health Boards are being told to put aside their bruised egos and get on with fixing the city's battered lab services.

It's believed Diagnostic Medlab will win back up to 20% of the testing workload, after a string of complaints about the newcomer Labtests.

Resident Doctors Association secretary Deborah Powell is urging the DHBs to come clean about their plans.

Powell says the District Health Boards aren't budging and are staying very tight-lipped.
