The government says it's to expand the health information campaign on the H1N1 Flu, saying that with over 12,000 cases in 43 countries, it's almost impossible to keep swine flu out of New Zealand.

Health Minister Tony Ryall says it'll be almost impossible to keep the H1N1 flu out of the country forever.

He says the Ministry of Health will increase its flu prevention information campaign as well as make more material available at airports for travellers.

The government is closely monitoring the situation in Australia as H1N1 continues to spread there.

Children and teachers returning from infected countries are being asked to stay away from school for a week and some schools have even closed.

A cruise ship, too, is being held up in Sydney while passengers are tested for the flu.
