District Health Boards across the country are becoming increasingly frustrated at industrial action being taken by radiographers.
A nationwide strike day is taking place next Tuesday for 24 hours, but radiographers have already begun other forms of industrial action.
Canterbury District Health Board chief executive David Meates said DHBs throughout New Zealand have contingency plans in place to deal with this.
But he's describing the ongoing industrial action as insidious, and the impact it's having on patients as unacceptable.
Radiographers have been in failed pay negotiations with DHBs for over a year.
