Fa'afetai - thank you! The final total raised on the phones and at the Red Cross website by midday Wednesday was $155,420, plus Te Papa, Christchurch and Auckland buckets combined came to $9756.60, making a grand total of over $165,000 raised in three hours!

And a big thanks to all the performers and people who gave their time to help make our fundraiser special so successful!

Julianne and the team at Rox Hairdressing are fundraising for "our friends who have lost everything in the Tsunami"

"I know this is one of many many stories but this is close to home for us. Our friend is a New Zealander and has married a Samoan and have two beautiful children. Their house was between Coconuts and Sinali on the south coast. Every thing they owned has gone, as has her mother's and father's retirement house that they have recently built, in order to spend time with their daughter and grandchildren in Samoa."
