Strawberry sorbet

Time: 20 mins
Serves: 7-8
Cost: $7

Ingredients:

1/3 Cup water
1/3 Cup white sugar
500g Strawberries
1 T Lemon juice
Zest of 1 lemon
1 T Grand Marnier or Cointreau (or two if you want it a little more boozy)

Method:

Make a sugar syrup by slowly bringing sugar and water to the boil. Boil for about a minute and chill in the fridge.

At the same time blend or process the strawberries until liquid.

Mix in the lemon juice, zest and liqueur and then chill the mixture.

When both are completely cold mix together and freeze.

Once the sorbet is properly frozen, chop it into chunks and blend pr process it again until smooth,

Freeze it again.

NOTE: To make it even better, once you've mixed the syrup and strawberry mixture together, pass it through a sieve. It means you get a lot less, though, so really only do this if you have company to impress.
