Lotions and potions: Bath Salts and Body Scrubs
Lotions and potions –
My flu has finally gone and all that remains are a few aches and pains and a body that needs a bit of tender loving care.
These recipes are very easy to put together and help to scrub away the last of your ailments! A good soak in the bath salts will have you feeling fabulous inside and out… guaranteed.
Things to gather –

For the citrus zest scented body scrub, you will need
1 ½ cups fine salt
¼ cup olive oil
¼ cup almond oil
¼ tsp lime essential oil
¼ tsp lemon essential oil
Combine all ingredients in a bowl – make sure all dry salt is well coated with oils.
Use in shower or bath.
It can leave bath/shower slippery so wipe down after use.
Bath Salts For Sore Muscles
This is the perfect remedy to soak in during or after the flu (or a heavy ballet or exercise class).
125gm Epsom salt
125 gm baking soda sieve both to remove lumps
20 drops lavandin essential oil
10 drops rosemary essential oil
10 drops eucalyptus essential oil
10 drops ginger essential oil
a few drops of soap or cosmetic dye – which is optional
Sieve to blend Epsom salts and baking soda in a bowl.
Add 4 drops of dye to get the purple shade.
It takes a few minutes to combine and get the dye evenly through the mix.
Add essential oils and mix well.
Store in jar.
Add 2-3 tsp to a bath and relax.
You will feel wonderful inside and outside after this.
