Laura Faire loves fresh food and seeing people enjoy eating and cooking her recipes. She started cooking to help her mum feed the shearers when she was little and loved it from day one.

Many years of cooking in restaurants, on international film sets and for swanky London parties brought her to food writing, and then a three-year tenure running the test kitchens for Nestle New Zealand where she wrote two books and tasted and launched many of New Zealand's favourite products. 

Her latest book, Now is the Season, brings back rustic cooking with simple tips on things you can do in the garden to make sure your ingredients are super fresh and in season.

Laura can normally be found covered in dirt in her garden or manically running from oven to desk trying to capture flavours of the season for her own books and blog - laurafaire.co.nz
