Jamie Fitzgerald (Explorer)
Jamie Fitzgerald grew up on a Gisborne sheep and beef station.
In 2007 he became the first ever Kiwi to reach the South Pole unsupported on foot with fellow adventurer Kevin Biggar, creating media attention worldwide
Jamie holds a world record for crossing the 5000km Atlantic Ocean in a tiny row boat.
He is a leadership and performance personality who has helped thousands of people to reach their potential. He worked on a campaign assisting young Kiwis, Ministers and CEOs to create a strategy combating New Zealand's negative youth statistics.
Jamie is currently filming a documentary adventure series,
recreating pioneering journeys from around New Zealand.
