Fifi's craft: Love Hangers

Want to remind anyone about Valentine's Day? Leave a hint hanging around?
Here's an inexpensive fun craft to show you care and jog certain people's memories!

You will need:
- A wire coat hanger
- Fabric scraps in shades of red and pink
- Scissors
- Optional: flowers from silk leis and ribbon

1) Bend a wire coat hanger into a heart shape. This is quite easy to do and you don't need pliers, just make sure you pull the middle down into a point and leave the hook at the top in the middle.
2) Unwind the twisted part of the hanger hook so that it pulls apart. Don't flatten the twist out- you'll need to put it back together later. They untwist very easily.
3) Cut a whole heap of fabric strips around 15x8cm. Tulle, organza, cotton, silk...they are all good for this craft.
4) Fold each strip up lengthways into a tube, then fold in half. Loop it over the hanger and pull the ends through so that it knots onto the wire.
5) Lei flowers can be threaded directly onto the wire (this is why you untwist the hanger)
6) When you have covered the hanger in lots of fabric, twist it back together.
7) For an extra special touch, wrap ribbon around the hanger hook and secure it with a dab of craft glue- you can even add a bow!
8) Now hang it in an obvious place and if your beloved doesn't notice, move it around...the bathroom door, the pantry door, the rear vision mirror...

Happy Valentine's Day!
