Ingredients
165g Icing sugar       
95g Ground almonds         
95g Egg whites          
55g Caster sugar 

Butter Cream
150g Butter
50g Icing sugar
Flavouring

Method
Pre heat the oven to 160C
Combine icing sugar and ground almonds and 'pulse' in a food processor, for approximately 20 seconds
Whisk the egg whites and caster sugar until soft peaks form, add a little sugar just before soft peaks form, and the rest toward the end
Add half of the almond-icing-sugar mixture into the egg whites and fold through, carefully fold through the other half of the almond mixture
Add colour and/or flavouring
Pipe onto baking paper, on a baking tray
Place the macarons into the oven and immediately drop the temperature to 130C
Bake for 15 minutes (if they are the smaller sized ones)
