Churros with Chocolate Sauce
Ingredients - Churros
250 ml milk
100g unsalted butter
1 tbsp caster sugar
125 g flour
3 egg yolks
2 vanilla beans
Vegetable oil for frying
Ingredients, Chocolate Sauce
1 cup cream
200 grams dark chocolate
Splash milk
Splash of orange liqueur
Method
In a pot, bring to boil milk, sugar, butter and vanilla
beans.
Strain onto the flour and mix to dough-like consistency.
Add egg yolks to dough and put into piping bag with a star
nozzle.
The star nozzle will create grooves on the churros, which allow the
sauce to stay on.
Pipe 4 to 5 cm long roll into vegetable oil at 180 degrees.
Fry until they are golden brown.
Drain with a slotted spoon onto paper towel to absorb excess
oil.
Toss in castor sugar and reserve aside.
In the meantime, heat the cream and whisk in the chocolate until it
has a silky consistency.
Add milk to obtain the right consistency, then the orange liqueur
to taste.
Serve the churros with chocolate sauce.
ENJOY!!!
