Chocolate Prince Trifle

Ingredients
1 oz butter
1 heaped tbsp cocoa
3/4 cup cold water
2 or more tbsp rum
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup boiling water
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tbsp cornflour
1 large sponge plain or chocolate
Chocolate flake
Walnuts
Cream, icing sugar and vanilla - whipped
Glass or crystal serving bowl

Method
Place butter, sugar cocoa and one cup of boiling water into a small saucepan and bring to boil.
Mix together cornflour and ¾ cup cold water.
Stir into hot mixture and stir continuously until it thickens.
Cool and add vanilla essence and rum to taste.
Pour layer of cold sauce into glass serving bowl.
Add a layer of broken sponge then a layer of sauce followed by a layer of whipped cream.
Repeat and finish with cream on top.
Sprinkle top with chopped walnuts and crumbled up flake
Cover with Gladwrap and chill in fridge until ready to serve.
