Astar's Craft:Tropical Table Flowers
Tropical flowers for a table + Tropical wedding bouquet
For years and years every tropical island adventure I take, I bring home a large tropical shell as my keep-sake memento.
I saw this idea ages ago and have been waiting for the right opportunity to share it with you all.
If you are having a tropical island themed wedding, and if you can locate the shells, this would be just perfect to grace any table.
This is what you will need to gather:
1 large tropical shell per table.
From Spotlight you can buy bags of small shells which will further enhance your display.
Raffia or woven sea-grass place mat.
Selection of either fresh or artificial flowers, frangipani, hibiscus, etc… these too can be found in the flower section at Spotlight.
Large tropical leaf
Hot glue gun
Floral foam to fill cavity of shell
Floral snips or wire cutters if using artificial flowers
Fill cavity of shell with either grey or green floral foam.
Cut all flowers short, then simply insert in to foam.
Place large tropical leaf on top of grass matting, then filled flower shell and surround with smaller shells.
Small tea-lights could be incorporated as could strands of draping pearls to further enhance design.
Quick and easy floral designing - I love it!
