How to Make a Door Draught
Things to gather
From Spotlight - FUR Fat 1/4 this fabric which is
precut is 75cm X 50cm and is ideal for teddy bears, cushions, cuffs
& collars, craft and costumes and comes in a variety of shades,
thickness and textures... selection one to suit
AND there is sufficient fabric in pack to make two but this will
depend of width of door frame
Sewing machine and matching thread
Pins, sharp scissors, tape measure, needle
Set pack containing teddy plastic eyes and nose
+ Optional if you want to further decorate your floor bear or long
dog, felt for mouth and ears
+ old rags for stuffing
Method
Measure across door base/frame and add several cm at each
end for seam allowance.
Cut fabric to a depth desired.
Turn fur rights sides together.
Pin across one end then down length.
Stitch down, clip corners to remove excess bulk, then turn right
sides out.
Make small holes into fabric where you wish eyes and nose to be
positioned, the push eyes and nose through each of the
holes.
Take your hand down inside formed tube and push stays to eyes/nose
to secure.
Stuff rugs firmly down inside cavity.
Hand stitch open end closed.
Further embellish with ears, and a tail if desired
