A confident golf punter has weighed in with a massive $100,000 (NZ$125,000) bet on Tiger Woods to win the Australian Masters.
The punter will collect $260,000 (NZ$325, 000) from Sportingbet Australia should Woods deliver at Kingston Heath on Sunday.
It's the biggest bet placed on a golfer prior to an Australian tournament.
The bet was made on Wednesday while Woods was playing his pro-am round on the Melbourne sandbelt course.
Woods's odds have tumbled in from $2.75 to $2.50 but Sportingbet Australia chief executive Michael Sullivan said there had also been money for young Australian golfers Michael Sim at $17 and Marc Leishman at $41, who have both secured their US Tour cards.
Not everyone thinks Woods is a sure bet, with one brave punter putting almost $500 on the world's No.1 player to miss at the cut at odds of $11.
The American has made 71 of his past 75 cuts.
