New Zealand golfer Danny Lee toyed with the cut mark throughout his second round at the PGA Tour's John Deere Classic in Illinois but now looks to have missed it.

Bogeys on the 17th and 18th holes have dropped him to one under for his second round and two under for the tournament with consecutive rounds of 70 each.

The cut has been made at three under par 139 and the Kiwi was sitting on three under until his late bogeys.

American Darron Stiles leads at 13 under par three shots ahead of Steve Stricker, who has rocketed up the leaderboard with a 10-under par 61 in his second round.
