The three Kiwis at the US Open have missed the cut on Bethpage Black.
The cut was set at four over with American Ricky Barnes leading at eight under, one shot ahead of Lucas Glover.
David Smail, who completed both rounds on Saturday, shot an even first round but imploded to end his second on 77.
Doug Batty, the Open debutant, produced two even rounds of 74 to end eight over for the tournament.
His consistent rounds were characterised by inconsistent hitting with double-bogeys followed by birdies.
Despite missing the cut, Batty reveled in the experience saying the thousands of fans out on course was something he is not used to so it was an amazing couple of days.
The rookie also says the support from New Zealand has been incredible with all the text messages, emails and voice messages he has received.
Fellow New Zealander Michael Campbell has produced the worse rounds of the Kiwi trio.
He started in the wet on the first day and completed his delayed first round of 77 on Saturday.
On Sunday he struggled again and finished with 79, trailing the field at 16 over.
Despite the rain, organisers have started the third round with the players re-started in pairs.
