New Zealand golfer Mark Brown is within reach of his best result on European soil.
He is just three shots from the lead entering the fourth and final round of the Scandinavian Masters in Sweden.
A third round of five-under-par 67 at Bro Hof Slott Golf Club at Stockholm today thrust Brown into a share of fourth place, three shots behind the joint leaders, Korean KJ Choi and Sweden's Richard Johnson.
Brown put himself into title contention with a round featuring six birdies and one bogey, leaving him on 209 for the tournament alongside Argentina's Rafa Echenique.
They are two strokes behind British Open champion Louis Oosthuizen, of South Africa, who shot a 72 today.
Brown, 35, is presently ranked 112th on the European Tour's Race to Dubai moneylist with earnings of 118,796 euro ($NZ209,800).
He has a best result this season of 10th, registered at the Malaysian Open in March, and a best finish in Europe of 19th at last month's Portugal Open.
He joined the European Tour in 2008 after gaining entry due to his victory in that year's tri-sanctioned Johnnie Walker Classic in India.
