It's another January, but one year on. Kev has been married to Amanda for more than a year, but he's hardly seeing his friends these days...
Jay Ryan brings a wealth of local and international acting
experience to the role of Kevin.
Between shooting series three and four of
Go Girls, Jay
headed to Australia and filmed a major guest role in the TV ONE hit
series,
Offspring.
He also landed a part in Terra Nova, the American science fiction
drama series produced by Steven Spielberg.
Recently he starred in the Australian made film, Lou, co-starring
John Hurt (Elephant Man) and Emily Barclay (In My Fathers Den). He
also appeared in the short
film, Franswa Sharl.
Jays previous television credits include Legend of the Seeker,
three series of Sea Patrol and a core cast role in the long-running
drama serial
Neighbours from 2002 2005.
Locally, he has starred in two
South Pacific Pictures drama series; Interrogation
(2005) and Being Eve (2001).
In 2010, Jay took his one-man play, The Packer, to Sydney and then
to the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
Jay had been working on the play for 10 years and was thrilled to
receive funding from
Creative NZ , enabling development
of the production and the ability to take it abroad.
The Packer drew impressive crowds and rave reviews in both Sydney
and Los Angeles.
